In this issue of the journal Econometrics Ekonometria. Advances in Applied Data Analysis three articles are published. The paper by Natalia Gromek and Jolanta Perek-Białas expands the considerations of Becker’s and Leibenstein’s family theories with a focus on the additional member of the household (pet/animal) in the analysis of consumption. The study analyses the households’ characteristics (such as socio-economic and demographic factors) that have an impact on the expenditure on pet goods. The article presents the findings from logistic regression models. In the next article, Abdassamad Dib, Hamri Mohamed Mehdi and Abbes Rabhi investigate by the kernel method, a nonparametric estimate of the conditional density function of a scalar response variable given a random variable taking values in a separable real Hilbert space when the observations are quasi-associated dependent. The principal aim of this paper was the examination of the convergence rate of the proposed estimator. The vocational education sector in relation to labour market expectations is the subject of the article by Dorota Kwiatkowska-Ciotucha and Urszula Załuska. The authors present an analysis of the results of a survey conducted in 2022 among students and young graduates of three vocational education courses, studying in EU countries. The area of research concerns the awareness of competencies sought-after by employers and the self-assessed level of these competencies.
